Epignosis at UX Nordic / Future Product Days 2025

Our product design team — Maria Ntourmetaki, Christina Karagianni, and I — had the pleasure of attending UX Nordic / Future Product Days 2025 in Copenhagen. Over two inspiring days, we immersed ourselves in workshops, talks, and conversations that reinforced how design, data, and UX insights drive better product outcomes.

Day 1 was fully dedicated to hands-on workshops, including a standout session by Manyone on “Design Metrics and Business Impact.” It was a great reminder that design decisions go beyond visuals — they’re about aligning creativity with strategy and contributing to the broader business vision.

Day 2 brought a series of insightful talks:

  • Anja Saabye, Head of UX & Product Design at Universal Robots, shared her perspective on how Design and UX can shape product vision and strategy, and how to lead cross-functional design teams effectively.
  • Vitaly Friedman delivered a compelling session on measuring UX and design impact.
  • We also explored sessions on AI in design, design leadership, product ideation, UX, and data-driven decision making.

Beyond the sessions, we connected with colleagues from around the world and several UX-forward companies — some of which we’re already in discussions with to integrate their tools and enhance our design workflow.

Attending this conference was a truly valuable experience for our team. It helps us strengthen cross-company design awareness and showcases how insightful design, data, and UX-driven decisions can shape the future of Epignosis products.

A big thank you to Epignosis for making this possible — and to Christina and Maria for sharing this incredible experience.

Giannis Sapountzis Giannis Sapountzis - Product Design Lead @Epignosis

Giannis Sapountzis was born and raised in Aridaia, a small town in northern Greece, not far from Thessaloniki. He holds an MEng in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Ioannina. Giannis began his career as a back-end developer, moved into full-stack, and then realized that coding wasn’t quite as fun as he thought, so he switched gears to UI/UX design, where creativity and logic meet (with fewer bugs). For the past three years, he’s been part of Epignosis, growing from mid-level to senior, and now serving as Product Design Lead, managing a talented multifunctional design team of five. Outside of work, Giannis enjoys cinema, meditation, painting, and the gym — the perfect mix of inspiration and focus.
