Giannis Sapountzis

Giannis Sapountzis was born and raised in Aridaia, a small town in northern Greece, not far from Thessaloniki. He holds an MEng in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Ioannina. Giannis began his career as a back-end developer, moved into full-stack, and then realized that coding wasn’t quite as fun as he thought, so he switched gears to UI/UX design, where creativity and logic meet (with fewer bugs). For the past three years, he’s been part of Epignosis, growing from mid-level to senior, and now serving as Product Design Lead, managing a talented multifunctional design team of five. Outside of work, Giannis enjoys cinema, meditation, painting, and the gym — the perfect mix of inspiration and focus.
