Born inside Starttech Ventures, Scale-Up Greece is an initiative designed to support and elevate the scaleup ecosystem in Greece. Its mission is to educate, inspire, and connect entrepreneurs who are ready to move beyond the startup phase and into sustainable, high-impact growth.
Through curated content, community events, and knowledge-sharing from real-world scaleup experiences, Scale-Up Greece aims to dispel myths about entrepreneurship, like the idea that fundraising is the only measure of success. HeBAN (Hellenic Business Angels Network) was founded in 2012 and fully incorporated in 2015 as a national, non-profit platform dedicated to strengthening Greece’s early stage investment ecosystem. Initiated by Starttech Ventures, HeBAN bridges the gap between innovative Greek start-ups and experienced Business Angels by offering education, best practices, and networking opportunities.
Leveraging Starttech Ventures’ expertise in venture development, HeBAN’s mission is to build a sustainable community of local and international investors, raise awareness about the importance of seed and angel funding, and promote ethical standards across the investment landscape. Through collaboration with European and global partners, HeBAN facilitates high-quality deal flow, encourages women’s engagement in angel investing, and advocates for policies that make Greece an attractive destination for innovation.
Starttech Ventures is proud to launch the Work in Greece initiative, offering ten software engineering positions at our portfolio companies in Athens (and soon, Heraklion, Crete).
Through this program, candidates compete for a chance to join world-leading scale-ups and fas growing startups while benefiting from comprehensive relocation support.
From the moment you express interest, by completing our application form and taking part in an online assessment and virtual interviews, all the way through in-person interviews and workshops in Athens, we handle every detail: visa and legal formalities, financial assistance, and guidance for you and your loved ones.
Successful applicants receive a special relocation stipend, ongoing administrative support, and the daily advantages of working with a Starttech company. By removing geographic barriers and providing free EU-visa support, we aim to help our startups overcome talent shortages and accelerate their growth.
