CityJS Athens 2026

CityJS Athens 2026: Starttech and Yodeck Join Epignosis as Gold Sponsors

CityJS Athens 2026, the AI Engineering Conference, runs from 21 to 23 October, and this year Starttech and Yodeck are joining Epignosis as Gold Sponsors. Three companies that grew out of the same venture-building story, backing the same room full of builders.

This is a hands-on, learning-first conference, with speakers from NVIDIA, IBM, Microsoft and AWS. Fewer keynotes about the future, more people showing you how they actually build things now. That’s close to how we work at Starttech: ship, learn, adjust, repeat.

It also helps that a good part of the programme happens at the Epignosis offices. Practically home turf.

Workshops at the Epignosis offices

Two days of hands-on sessions, each built around something you’ll walk out able to do.

Wednesday 21/10

  • 12:00–15:00 · React Without Surprises · John Tsevdos
  • 15:00–18:00 · Building Agents That Remember · Adam Cowley (Neo4j)

Thursday 22/10

  • May the Source Be With You: Build a Custom Agent and the Knowledge That Powers It · Mey Beisaron (NVIDIA)
  • Graph Engineering: Making State-Machine Powered Agents · David Khourshid (Stately)
  • TanStack AI-Powered JavaScript Apps · Shivay Lamba

The meetup: Wednesday 21/10, 19:00–21:00

Once the workshops wrap up, the evening meetup at Epignosis shifts from code to the questions around it: pay, risk, regulation, and where your models should actually run.

  • Salaries & the Gender Pay Gap in Greek Tech · Anastasia Karagkizopoulou
  • Inside My Real Claude Code Workflow: Voice, Memory, and Building Your Own Agents · Yaroslav Matshevych (Zoopla UK)
  • AI Governance for Engineers: Mapping Real Risk Under the EU AI Act · Christos Makris & Konstantinos Anagnostopoulos
  • To Infer or Not to Infer: The Local LLM Dilemma · Athanasios Zografos

See you there

Agents with memory, local LLMs, the EU AI Act, and an honest look at salaries in Greek tech, all in one week in Athens. If you build software for a living, or plan to, it’s a good week to be in the city.
