Starttech Ventures is proud to back the Athens Regional Final as a Supporting Partner. Supporting this competition is a natural extension of what Starttech has done for over a decade: championing the idea that high-tech innovation can flourish from Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean while building for global markets, particularly North America.

Dimitris Tsingos Joins the Judging Panel

Alongside the partnership, Dimitris Tsingos, Co-Founder & President of Starttech Ventures, has been invited to join the judging panel for the Athens Regional Final.

Dimitris brings a builder’s perspective to the table, not just an investor’s. As Co-Founder of Starttech Ventures, he’s spent years co-founding B2B SaaS companies from the ground up alongside entrepreneurs, rather than evaluating pitches from the sidelines. He’s also Co-Founder, President & CEO of Epignosis and Co-Founder & President of Yodeck, two Greek-born companies that scaled to global reach and are part of the track record Starttech points to when it talks about what capital-efficient, founder-led growth looks like in practice.

That hands-on experience, building, scaling, and commercializing technology businesses with a consistent focus on lean startup principles and capital efficiency, is what he’ll bring to evaluating this year’s 15 finalists.

About the Competition

The Startup World Cup Athens Regional Competition 2026 is organized by Athens Tech Circle in partnership with PEGASUS Tech Ventures. It’s open to innovative startups from across Greece, including Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Patras, and every other region, building solutions in AI, Healthcare & Life Sciences, DeepTech, Travel & Hospitality, Education, Smart Cities & IoT, SpaceTech, FinTech, and other tech-driven fields.

Only 15 startups will be selected to pitch live at the Athens Regional Finale. The winner earns the chance to represent Greece at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in Silicon Valley, held November 4 to 6, 2026, at the Hilton Union Square, San Francisco, where they’ll compete for a US$1 million investment prize.
