If your enterprise or organisation is interested in creating its own private cloud but is afraid of the hustle or doesn’t have the required domain knowledge, you are in luck.

We at StartTech Ventures, are proud to introduce Stackmasters, a new player in the cloud computing services area, that was founded and is operating as part of our incubator.

Stackmasters provides expert level Cloud Computing services to Greek, South-Eastern Europe and Middle Eastern businesses, and specialises in building, managing and supporting large, fully featured, Private Clouds for enterprises.

Combining years of technical and business experience with the enthusiasm of a cutting-edge start-up, the company was founded by executives with decades of international experience in Cloud Computing and enterprise services, and is chock-full with qualified engineers and developers that have followed Cloud technology from its baby steps to today’s dominance (including several academic researchers).

Furthermore, Stackmasters carries the legacy and technical expertise of Virtual Trip Ltd, a 12-year-old IT services and technology venture and incubator, focusing on grid computing, distributed systems and virtualisation, with an emphasis on open-source software implementations.

Stackmasters specialises in the Openstack cloud computing platform (backed by Cisco, RedHat, IBM, Intel, VMWare and HP among others) and is collaborating with leading software providers in this domain to provide a full spectrum of end-to-end solutions covering the design, deployment and support of enterprise-class clouds (IaaS), as well as the training and certification of human resources in its use and management.

In layman terms, Stackmasters can help your enterprise move its costly and difficult to manage infrastructure to the cloud, by providing turn-key solutions based on the standards based OpenStack technology. And it’ll also help your company transform to a full cloud-enabled business via professional services and skills-transfer.

Speaking of skills, Constantine Rougeris, Stackmasters’ co-founder, will be speaking at the InfoCom conference in Athens, on Oct 30. He’ll talk about his vast experience in the cloud computing trenches, in a speech aptly titled “Cloud Computing theory and practice: war stories from the West“. If you’re at InfoCom don’t forget to come say hi.

If you’re interested in learning more about Stackmasters, you can send an email inquiry at: info@stackmasters.eu, or call: (+30) 210 6756008. There’s also the company’s website, as well as its twitter and Facebook accounts.
