Celebrating Seven Years of Excellence: Iro’s Starttechversary!

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, marked the 7th starttechversary of our one and only Iro Tsakiri — and what a journey it has been!

Iro, who today leads Starttech Ventures as our Managing Director, first connected with our team in an entirely different capacity — as a fitness coach! (Yes, she’s still one of the best Zumba instructors you’ll ever meet!) At the time, she was taking a well-deserved career break after several years in the consulting industry.

Then, on October 22nd, 2018, she decided to take a bold step — returning to the business world and joining Starttech Ventures as a receptionist and business administration assistant. While clearly overqualified for the role, Iro brought to it a rare combination of humility, professionalism, and efficiency. She immediately stood out — not because of titles, but because of how she worked and how she treated people. Her loyalty, sense of purpose, and executional excellence made an impression that would shape her path ahead.

From there, her growth trajectory has been nothing short of inspiring. While mastering her administrative duties, she began supporting our digital marketing team, bringing structure and creativity to our communications. Before long, she was managing projects, coordinating initiatives across our venture building operations, and proving herself a natural leader — not by authority, but by example.

When I transitioned to the Epignosis CEO role, Iro took over the leadership of Starttech Ventures — and I couldn’t have felt more confident that the organization was in the best possible hands. Her leadership style is grounded in servant leadership: she leads by empowering others, by listening deeply, and by ensuring the collective mission always comes first.

Very rightfully awarded as Vtripper of the Year 2022, Iro embodies the spirit and values of Starttech Ventures like few others ever have. She’s the definition of continuous growth, of courage in transitions, and of leading through integrity and care.
